Chef Lyndon Tyers is an exceptional culinary talent who has made a lasting impression on the food scene at Donna Chang, a renowned restaurant celebrated for its modern Chinese cuisine. With a culinary journey spanning decades, Lyndon has masterfully honed his skills, delivering a unique and innovative dining experience to patrons.

Hailing from Tasmania, Lyndon draws inspiration from his travels and cultural experiences, infusing his dishes with a delightful blend of tradition and innovation. His relentless pursuit of perfection has earned him accolades from both food critics and satisfied diners, making Donna Chang a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts.

After apprenticing at The Venetian by Joseph Vargetto, Lyndon worked at hatted Melbourne restaurants, including The Brasserie by Phillipe Mouchel, Langton’s Restaurant & Wine Bar, and Circa The Prince.

Joining The Ghanem Group in 2015, Lyndon became Head Chef of Blackbird Private Dining and Events Space. During this time, Blackbird received multiple accolades, including Gault & Millau L’expert Gourmand Yellow Guide, Three Chef’s Hats, People’s Choice Top ten in QLD 2018 – Delicious 100, and Good Food Guide Awards’ One Chef’s Hat 2018.

In 2020, Lyndon became Head Chef of the sister venue, Donna Chang. Under his guidance, Donna Chang has been named Best Chinese Restaurant at the Restaurant and Catering Awards, Australian Good Food Guide Chefs Hat, and #4 in the Courier-Mail’s Best Queensland Restaurants in 2022.

While deeply rooted in Chinese traditions, Lyndon is not afraid to experiment and push boundaries. His menu at Donna Chang showcases a thoughtful balance of classic dishes with contemporary twists, offering a delightful symphony of tastes and textures. Each plate that leaves his kitchen is a work of art, reflecting his artistic flair and dedication to the craft.
