Adelaide Oval and Henschke Hill of Grace, both iconic and sacred in their own right, are united in a unique South Australian collaboration known as Hill of Grace Restaurant. Partnering with Eden Valley wine powerhouse, Henschke, the Adelaide Oval Stadium Management Authority has created a culinary journey showcasing the best of South Australia.

The restaurant offers an exceptional dining experience overlooking the hallowed turf. With a menu inspired by the bounty of South Australia’s truly magnificent fresh produce, dishes have been carefully crafted keeping in mind a seasonal food philosophy with a strong focus on the use of locally grown, farmed or fished produce.

Guests have the option of a degustation or à la carte menu, with the opportunity to add matching wines. The six-course degustation menu delivers a taste sensation from start to finish, including SA Octopus with eggplant purée, pickled lotus root, pear and smoked mullet crumbs - accompanied by the 2017 Henschke Julius Riesling.

Enjoy Murraylands Lamb Neck with house-made sour cream, blackberry gastrique, black garlic and Warrigal spinach, paired with a 2015 Henschke Henry’s Seven Shiraz Grenache Mataro Viognier, and finish on a high note with a Chocolate Dome with chocolate feuilletine mousse, passionfruit gel and shortbread disc, served with the 2016 Henschke Noble Rot Gewürztraminer.

The à la carte menu is just as impressive, starting with Coffin Bay Oysters with finger lime and lemon foam. Entrées include 78° Gin Cured Ocean Trout with caper leaf, nori dust, pearl onion, pickled ginger gel and squid ink crème fraiche or Roasted Heirloom

Beetroot with Woodside ashed chèvre, charred pear, beetroot medley, toasted grains and seeds. Move onto Seared Duck Breast with micro turnip, cavolo nero, prune paste, soy pickled shimeji and spiced d’agen plum jus or enjoy the Charred Pork Belly with fermented apple, desert limes, baby squid tentacles and soy pearls amongst a number of other delicious choices. To finish, the Toasted Stout Sour Dough with stout and sour dough ice-cream, frosted pecans, Henschke Prue’s Verjus jelly, guava custard and marshmallow is sure to surprise and delight even the fussiest of eaters.

The Hill of Grace Restaurant wine list celebrates the best of South Australia’s wine producers and features 160 premium wines from the region. The extensive list is headlined by a range of acclaimed Henschke wines, including the namesake Hill of Grace. This unique collaboration means the restaurant is home to the world’s only complete set of Hill of Grace wines on display – a priceless collection that dates from 1958 to the most current release.

Diners can choose to leave the wine selection to an expert or simply select some of their favourites themselves. The in-house sommelier can provide perfect pairing recommendations, ensuring menu selections are complemented and enhanced by premium wine selection.

Additionally, diners can sample wines that can’t be found elsewhere, with an enomatic wine dispenser providing diners a 50ml, 100ml or 150ml glass of the internationally renowned Henschke Shiraz, or other museum and back vintage Henschke wines.
