Aria

1 Macquarie Street, Sydney NSW

A synergy of many elements in an unrivalled harbourside location, Aria is one of Australia’s finest restaurants and has received many awards over the years. Aria brings together the vision of owners Matt Moran and Bruce Solomon, the best seasonal produce and a world-class wine list in a stunning, art-filled space with sweeping Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge views.

Matt Moran is one of Australia’s most renowned and recognised chefs and has long been a champion of seasonal, local produce growing up on a farm in western Sydney. Matt opened his first restaurant at the age of 22 and now owns some of Australia’s most celebrated venues which are part of the Solotel group.

Matt opened Aria in 1999 and still oversees each seasonal menu from start to finish. Working closely with Executive Chef, Tom Gorringe, the Aria team produces ever-changing tasting menus depending on the ingredients available in season. It is complemented with an exciting wine pairing.

Exciting local produce features throughout and you can take all the guessing out of it by choosing the Tasting Menu, a luxurious treat for special dates and celebrations. You might discover menu items like Beetroot with buffalo milk curd & black olive and some Abrolhos Island Scallops with leek, sweet peas & cured roe. And that’s just for starters.

Move onto locally sourced Maremma Pastured Quail with farro, carrot & macadamia; the Gundagai GLQ 5+ Lamb with parsnip & beluga lentils; and the Peking Duck Consommé with abalone & shiitake. Finish with a Winter Palate Cleanser and the Chocolate with honeycomb & milk. You can pair your meal with classic, premium or prestige wines, carefully selected by Sommelier, Salvatore Persico.

If that sounds too much, you can also enjoy a four-course meal, a weekday two-course lunch, or a three-course pre-theatre dinner.
