Montalto

Montalto’s home estate of 12 hectares under vine is the primary source for their premium wines, and the expansive kitchen gardens and orchards supply their kitchens in The Restaurant and The Piazza.

The award-winning winemaking team, led by Simon Black, create wines of exemplary quality and character, utilising winemaking techniques that complement the unique qualities derived from only the very best parcels of fruit taken from their five vineyards in a style that reflects each vineyard site.

Head into The Cellar Door to enjoy an incredible range of seated tastings and wine experiences, all hosted by Montalto’s experienced, knowledgeable award-winning wine team.

When you’ve found your new favourite wine, it’s time for lunch. All dining options at Montalto follow their “estate to plate” philosophy: if they can grow it, it will be harvested fresh and used on the menus in both The Restaurant and The Piazza. With an unwavering commitment to seasonal estate-grown produce, expertly managed by Montalto’s Produce Manager, Julie Bennett, an abundance of heirloom produce is grown in the impressive kitchen gardens and orchards.

The Restaurant dining room looks over the vines, sculptures and olive groves, giving you a bird’s eye view of the property where the produce is grown. If it’s not grown onsite, the kitchen team sources the very best ingredients from across the Mornington Peninsula, preferencing producers with sustainable and ethical production methods.
