Established in 2004, Nu Nu was built on the key values that reflect the natural environment of North Queensland. The tropics demand a unique, relaxed interpretation of the high standards expected in award-winning restaurants - high-end dining that is as provincial as it is memorable.
The team’s focus is on a combination of excellent food and service in the perfect environment to enjoy the spectacular views of the Coral Sea. Tropical and seasonal produce is at the centre of every dish; each ingredient is presented for ultimate taste and texture.
The menu offers an eclectic mix of Australian food inspired by international travel and the multicultural Australian community. Nu Nu’s mission is to showcase the amazing bounty of lush, fresh produce from the rainforest, the reef and the outback cattle stations. The handcrafted, artisan food showcases the vibrant, colourful and dramatic landscape that makes up Tropical North Queensland.
Nu Nu has expanded to include a specialised catering division, Nu Nu Events & Catering. From hosting 1,000 people in the middle of a cane field to intimate beachfront weddings, Nu Nu Events & Catering is proud to have worked with some of the most well-known companies in the world.
Nu Nu’s sister store, Numi Ice Creamery is located along the Williams Esplanade in Palm Cove. Numi offers many house-made ice creams and sorbets, with an abundance of flavours drawing upon the best produce that the region has to offer.
