Seasonal, local, and slow are the guiding principles that define The Zin House. Nestled amongst the picturesque Mudgee hills and Lowe vineyards, this modern farmhouse restaurant embodies regional dining at its best.
From the moment you arrive, you’ll be greeted by extensive kitchen and market gardens, orchards, and grazing farmland that form the foundation of the Zin House experience. The Zin team takes pride in using produce that is grown on-site by a dedicated garden team. What can’t be grown by themselves is sourced responsibly from neighbouring farmers and producers in the region.
The food and courses are plentiful; six full courses are plated sharing style to enjoy across hours amongst good company. Prepared by Kyle Bowett & the Zin team, the menu continues Executive Chef Kim Currie’s guiding principles of authenticity, generosity, and quality – balanced with a refined and technique-driven approach.
The kitchen team works closely with the garden team to develop and prepare food that reflects seasonality and ensures a sustainable and impactful dining experience.
In between courses, guests are encouraged to take their time to explore the bountiful gardens, meet the talented chefs, and feel at home in the open-air hearth.
The (optional) matched wines, selected by winemaker David Lowe, take things up another notch. Paired with the flavours of each course, wines include those from Lowe’s own museum stock, as well as David’s favourite producers across Mudgee, Orange and in between.
